+ first game with the Second Dawn Guild
+
+ it was a hoot! caught the last game of the between season. season 4 starting next week.
+
+ it was much bigger than i expected. at least 4 tables going! quite a production. apparently there's a writing team that coodinates each "season?" wow.
+
+ i finally got to play Jubilee Moody, cat lady and bookworm. She was a sub-sub-librarian at Obsidian Dread's library, but then when he got defeated she left to go open her own floating bookshop. But it sank. So now she's out trying to procure rare books for her book collector patron, with her best friend and companion kitty, Katy Agatha!

Text: Dear Roo,

+ How's my favorite little sister? (I know what you're going to say: "I'm your only little sister!" Har har.)
+
+ Sending this via Sending Pigeon. You just squeeze the bird and shake it, and the message plays! How about that! Why not parrots? More costeffective. Parrots are expensive, need training, and get lost. Pigeons are cheap, plentiful, and good at homing. Old tech is best sometimes!
+
+ Got a new job today with the "Second Dawn!" (Don't ask what happened to the first! Always toss out the first draft, they say.) I was browsing market stalls with a new friend of mine, a halfling named Roscoe. (They can really punch!) When we saw a little goblin sneak past. I recognized their plains dialect right away. This town has had trouble with them lately. And with goblins, you know if you see 1 there's a hundred more! So we tail it into some tall grass (immediately lost the halfling) and found a small mess of them planning to attack the town in the name of "The Count."
+
+ So suddenly there's like 11 or 8 gobbos hurling torches and catching buildings and stuff on fire. What a headache! You know how much I hate heroics and glory. Spotlight gets me in trouble ever since the incident with the Children of Whimsicott. But we start chasing the buggers down with the help of a couple of sharpshooters, one sneaky guy, and a really big blade lady.
+
+ No sooner had we smooshed the little buggers and put the fires out (lost some crops, saved all the structures!) when The Count rolled in with his goon squad. Luckily we saw 'em coming so we got the drop on them. I, of course, hid behind a rock. You know how much I hate heroics and glory.
+
+ Anyway that's when this Willem Defriend guy shows up. Offers to hire us on the spot. I was a little reluctant but then I thought maybe a little good publicity will be good for me. You know, after the incident with the Children of Whimsicott.
+
+ Okay that's all I can say, this pigeon apparently only holds 2000 characters.

How’s my favorite little sister? (I know what you’re going to say: “I’m your only little sister!” Har har.)

Sending this via Sending Pigeon. You just squeeze the bird and shake it, and the message plays! How about that! Why not parrots? More costeffective. Parrots are expensive, need training, and get lost. Pigeons are cheap, plentiful, and good at homing. Old tech is best sometimes!

Got a new job today with the “Second Dawn!” (Don’t ask what happened to the first! Always toss out the first draft, they say.) I was browsing market stalls with a new friend of mine, a halfling named Roscoe. (They can really punch!) When we saw a little goblin sneak past. I recognized their plains dialect right away. This town has had trouble with them lately. And with goblins, you know if you see 1 there’s a hundred more! So we tail it into some tall grass (immediately lost the halfling) and found a small mess of them planning to attack the town in the name of “The Count.”

So suddenly there’s like 11 or 8 gobbos hurling torches and catching buildings and stuff on fire. What a headache! You know how much I hate heroics and glory. Spotlight gets me in trouble ever since the incident with the Children of Whimsicott. But we start chasing the buggers down with the help of a couple of sharpshooters, one sneaky guy, and a really big blade lady.

No sooner had we smooshed the little buggers and put the fires out (lost some crops, saved all the structures!) when The Count rolled in with his goon squad. Luckily we saw ‘em coming so we got the drop on them. I, of course, hid behind a rock. You know how much I hate heroics and glory.

Anyway that’s when this Willem Defriend guy shows up. Offers to hire us on the spot. I was a little reluctant but then I thought maybe a little good publicity will be good for me. You know, after the incident with the Children of Whimsicott.

Okay that’s all I can say, this pigeon apparently only holds 2000 characters.

Write back soon!

xoxo

happy day after groundhog day!

first game with the Second Dawn Guild

it was a hoot! caught the last game of the between season. season 4 starting next week.

it was much bigger than i expected. at least 4 tables going! quite a production. apparently there’s a writing team that coodinates each “season?” wow.

i finally got to play Jubilee Moody, cat lady and bookworm. She was a sub-sub-librarian at Obsidian Dread’s library, but then when he got defeated she left to go open her own floating bookshop. But it sank. So now she’s out trying to procure rare books for her book collector patron, with her best friend and companion kitty, Katy Agatha!

The gang gets to the wizard tower of Beauregard Freeholder, and kind of loots a lot of his stuff as his automaton servant, Guz, shows them around. Plank gets cursed by a Forgotten God (Dutrik) reading an ancient tome. Freeholder gets back and immediately initiates Protocol 90053, turning Guz into a giant mechanical goose who attacks the gang. They fight Guz off. The artificer salvages enough of his pieces to make a little wind-up clockwork robot.

The gang gets to the wizard tower of Beauregard Freeholder, and kind of loots a lot of his stuff as his automaton servant, Guz, shows them around.
