todo after everything is set up and working: remove redundancy in the code. i'm six commits in and there's already quite a lot of things being coded again and again.

assorted examples:

  • move terminal definitions to one central place with defined command and on-exit
  • have a less ad-hoc system for figuring out placements of elements (currently it's done by hand and eye)
  • actually figure out the Press/Release bug instead of just ignoring release actions
  • move scary confirmations into list and make them less repetitive
