Right now RUFF just grabs LAN IPs, maybe we should try fishing for a WAN IP as well in case someone wants to offer up a file over the world wide web? Would we want/need a way to switch dynamically between those or just a command line flag?

Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
